Gunmen Kill 10 People in Afghanistan’s Baghlan Province
KABUL, November 22, 2024 – At least 10 people were killed by gunmen in Afghanistan’s northern Baghlan province on Friday, according to Interior Ministry Spokesperson Abdul Mateen Qaniee. The identity of the attackers remains unclear.
Since the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan in 2021, the group has pledged to restore security, but attacks, many claimed by the local branch of the Daesh militant group, have continued. In a similar incident in September, 14 people were killed and six others injured in a Daesh attack in central Afghanistan.
