38 Killed, 29 Injured in Attack on Passenger Vehicles in Pakistan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan – November 21, 2024 – At least 38 people, including three women and children, were killed and 29 others injured in an attack on passenger vehicles in Kurram district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Unidentified gunmen opened fire on two convoys of passenger vehicles in the Lower Kurram area. The first reports confirmed five deaths, with fears the toll could rise. Emergency teams and law enforcement rushed to the scene, and investigations have begun.

The Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa confirmed the victims were traveling from Parachinar to Kurram when the attack occurred. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
