Imran Khan Granted Bail in State Gifts Case

ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has been granted bail in the state gifts case, his party confirmed on Wednesday. Khan, who has been in prison since August 2023, was accused of illegally selling state gifts during his tenure from 2018 to 2022. These gifts, including valuable diamond jewelry and Rolex watches, were worth over 140 million rupees ($501,000).

Although Khan has been granted bail in this case, he still faces several other charges, including inciting violence after his arrest in May 2022. Khan has consistently denied all charges, claiming they are politically motivated. His family and supporters are awaiting the official release order to secure his release.
