Army Chief Commends Active Participation of Allied Nations at IDEAS 2024, Unveils Pakistan’s Shapher III UAV

ISB, Pakistan: According to ISPR, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir praised the active participation of defense manufacturers from allied countries at the defense exhibition, IDEAS 2024.

The Army Chief visited the exhibition, where he was warmly welcomed by the Corps Commander Karachi, Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar, upon his arrival in Karachi.

ISPR stated that the 12th edition of IDEAS 2024 began on November 19 and will conclude on November 22, 2024.

The spokesperson of the Pakistan Army mentioned that General Syed Asim Munir also engaged in discussions with foreign military officials and defense delegates during the event.

According to ISPR, 36 countries set up stalls at the exhibition, with 17 of them participating for the first time. A total of 557 exhibitors are participating, of which 333 are international exhibitors.

The statement further highlighted the special feature of the event, the unveiling of Pakistan’s indigenously developed unmanned aerial vehicle, Shapher III. The Shapher III is equipped with advanced capabilities and is capable of carrying a wide range of munitions, including bombs, missiles, and torpedoes.
