Telegram Founder Pavel Durov Granted Bail, Faces Uncertain Future
Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, has been released on bail by the French government . He paid a 5 million-euro ($5.6 million) bond and agreed to report to police twice weekly and stay in the country . Durov faces allegations of criminal activities on his social media platform, and if proven guilty, he could face ten years in prison and a fine of five thousand euros . He was arrested on August 24 upon his arrival in Paris and faces 12 accusations
