Israelis Protest Outside Netanyahu’s Home Demanding Hostage Swap Deal
Jerusalem – Families of Israeli captives held in Gaza staged a protest outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in West Jerusalem on Monday, calling for a swift exchange deal with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. Protesters waved banners reading “End war. Hostage deal immediately” and “Hostages won’t survive another winter,” urging the government to act before the captives face further danger.
Organizers warned that the hostages, currently held in Gaza’s tunnels, would not survive the harsh winter conditions. Relatives and opposition parties have increased pressure on Netanyahu’s government, accusing it of hindering efforts to secure a prisoner swap. Israel estimates around 101 captives are still being held by Hamas and other militant groups in Gaza.
