Ukraine Resumes Rolling Power Cuts After Massive Russian Missile Strike
Kyiv– Ukrainians in the Black Sea port city of Odesa were without power for 24 hours on Monday following a large Russian missile strike over the weekend that severely damaged the country’s energy infrastructure. The attack, which marked Russia’s largest missile barrage in nearly three months, killed seven people and exacerbated the already fragile power grid.
As a result, Ukraine has reintroduced rolling power cuts nationwide, with further disruptions expected in the coming days. The missile strike has left several regions without electricity, forcing authorities to implement energy-saving measures across the country to manage the ongoing crisis.
