Masked Men Steal Vehicles from Windsor Castle Estate in Bold Nighttime Burglary
London, Nov 18 – In a daring robbery at Windsor Castle estate last month, two masked men broke into a barn and stole two vehicles, including a pick-up truck and a quad bike, according to reports.
The burglary took place on October 13, just before midnight, when the offenders used a stolen truck to ram through a security gate and gained access to the estate. They then scaled a six-foot fence to reach a farm building, from which they made off with a black Isuzu pick-up truck and a red quad bike. The culprits fled the scene, heading towards the Old Windsor and Datchet areas.
At the time of the break-in, King Charles and Queen Camilla were not at the estate. However, Prince William and his family were believed to be staying at nearby Adelaide Cottage, part of the Windsor Castle estate.
Thames Valley Police responded to the burglary and confirmed that no arrests have been made. An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Offenders entered a farm building and made off with a black Isuzu pick-up and a red quad bike. They then made off towards the Old Windsor/Datchet area. We are actively investigating the matter.”
Windsor Castle, one of the most iconic royal residences, is known for its high level of security. The breach has raised questions about the effectiveness of security measures at such high-profile locations, even though no members of the royal family were present during the incident.
Police are urging anyone with information about the burglary to come forward.
