Kim Jong Un Calls for “Limitless” Nuclear Expansion, Criticizes U.S. and South Korea

SEOUL, – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has called for the “limitless” growth of his country’s nuclear program in response to what he sees as increasing U.S. military threats. In comments made at a meeting with army officials, Kim criticized the U.S. for its nuclear cooperation with South Korea and Japan, calling the three-way alliance an “Asian NATO” that is raising regional tensions.

Kim also condemned U.S. support for Ukraine, accusing the West of using Ukraine as “shock troops” to expand its military influence. He has increasingly aligned North Korea with Russia, showing support for President Vladimir Putin in his conflict with the West.

Kim’s remarks come as North Korea has advanced its nuclear and missile programs, including systems capable of targeting South Korea and even the U.S. mainland. Despite speculation about renewed talks with former U.S. President Donald Trump, experts believe diplomacy is unlikely due to changes in the regional security situation.

Kim has also intensified threats against South Korea, warning of nuclear retaliation if provoked. In recent months, North Korea has launched thousands of balloons filled with trash into South Korea, causing damage but no injuries. The South Korean military has warned the North not to test its patience further.

As tensions continue to rise, concerns grow that North Korea’s growing military cooperation with Russia could further develop its nuclear capabilities.
