King Salman Hosts 1,000 Umrah Pilgrims from 66 Countries

RIYADH – Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has approved the hosting of 1,000 Umrah pilgrims from 66 countries as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit. The pilgrims will be welcomed in four groups throughout the current Islamic year, which runs until the final week of June 2025.

Sheikh Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance, and general supervisor of the Hajj and Umrah program, expressed his gratitude to the Saudi leadership for providing Muslims worldwide the opportunity to perform the minor pilgrimage with ease and peace of mind.

The minister highlighted that the initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to serving Islam and Muslims, fostering global unity, and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood. The program also promotes valuable communication and exchange among scholars and influential Muslim figures from various countries.

Since its inception, the program has benefitted Muslims from over 140 countries, allowing them to experience the spiritual journey of Umrah in a supportive and organized manner.
