Israeli Drone Attack Kills Palestinian Journalist in Gaza
November 16, 2024: A Palestinian journalist, Mohammed Saleh al-Sharif, was killed in Gaza on Saturday by an Israeli drone strike, according to Wafa news agency. Local sources reported that al-Sharif was injured in the Jabalia refugee camp and left “bleeding for more than two hours” before he died from his wounds.
Israeli forces have been blocking civil defense and medical teams from reaching northern Gaza for over 25 days, complicating efforts to provide urgent care to the wounded.
The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate reported that al-Sharif’s death brings the total number of journalists killed in Gaza since the start of the Israeli conflict on October 7, 2023, to 174. The ongoing violence continues to target media professionals, further escalating the toll on civilians in the region.
