Israeli Artillery Shelling Kills One in Gaza City
Israeli artillery has killed a Palestinian in an attack on a group of residents near the Islamic Complex Mosque in the Sabra neighborhood of southern Gaza City, according to Al Jazeera Arabic.
The shelling comes amid ongoing military operations in the region. In another incident, a Palestinian was reported injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting areas northwest of Rafah, a city in southern Gaza.
Since Israel’s military escalation began on October 7, 2023, the death toll in Gaza has risen to at least 43,764 Palestinians, with over 103,490 others reported injured. This ongoing violence has been described by many as a genocide, as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to worsen.
