New Israeli Airstrike Hits Southern Beirut, Targeting Hezbollah Infrastructure

Israeli aircraft have carried out a new airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon, in the latest escalation of air raids targeting the area. The strike, which took place in the mid-afternoon, hit the Chiyah neighborhood, one of the residential areas in southern Beirut.

Images from the scene show a column of smoke rising from the suburb, signaling the extent of the damage. Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported the attack, describing it as a raid by “enemy aircraft.”

Israel’s air force has been conducting repeated airstrikes on southern Beirut, a region known for Hezbollah’s strong presence. The Israeli military claims the strikes are aimed at dismantling Hezbollah’s military infrastructure, which it says is being used for operations against Israel. This marks another chapter in the ongoing conflict as tensions continue to rise in the region.
