Australia defeated Pakistan by 13 runs in the second T20I at Sydney, clinching the series 2-0. In pursuit of a target of 148 runs set by Australia, Pakistan’s batting struggled throughout the chase.

Australia won the toss and chose to bat first. They set a target of 148 runs, finishing their innings at 9 wickets for 147 runs. Despite a strong start, Australia lost wickets at regular intervals. Haris Rauf was the standout bowler for Pakistan, taking 4 wickets for 22 runs. He was supported by Abbas Afridi, who claimed 3 wickets, and Sufyan Muqeem, who took 2.

Australia’s innings began aggressively, but Rauf’s brilliant spell reduced them to 52 for 2. Australia’s opening partnership was broken when Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh were dismissed by Rauf. The third wicket fell at 56, when Matthew Short (32) was dismissed by Abbas Afridi. Australia continued to lose wickets, with key batsmen like Glenn Maxwell (21), Tim David (18), and Aaron Hardy (28) falling in quick succession.

Pakistan’s chase got off to a disastrous start. The team lost early wickets, with Babar Azam (3) and Sahibzada Farhan (5) falling cheaply. Captain Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed for 16, and deputy captain Salman Ali Agha went without scoring. At one stage, Pakistan was 39 for 5, and despite some resistance from the middle order, they fell short of the target.

Pakistan’s batting woes continued as they were bowled out for 134 runs, 13 runs short of the required total. Haris Rauf, who had a strong bowling performance, was also involved in a key run-out to end the match. Australia won with 13 runs to spare, securing the series victory.
