Muslim Trump Voters Disappointed by Pro-Israel Cabinet Picks

U.S. Muslim leaders who supported Donald Trump in his bid for the presidency are expressing frustration with his recent Cabinet appointments, particularly his selection for Secretary of State. Many Muslim voters had backed Trump to protest the Biden administration’s stance on Israel’s actions in Gaza and Lebanon, but they now feel let down by his pro-Israel choices.

Rabiul Chowdhury, a Philadelphia investor and prominent figure in the “Muslims for Trump” movement, stated, “Trump won because of us, and we’re not happy with his Secretary of State pick and others.” Some strategists believe that Muslim support played a key role in Trump’s victories in Michigan and other swing states, further highlighting the significance of their disappointment in his administration’s foreign policy direction.
