ICC Cancels Champions Trophy Trophy Tour in Skardu, Murree, and Muzaffarabad After BCCI’s Objections

November 15, 2024 – The ICC has cancelled the planned stops of the Champions Trophy 2025 Trophy Tour in Skardu, Murree, and Muzaffarabad, following objections from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Indian media reports say the BCCI raised concerns about the PCB’s tour schedule, which led to the cancellation. The tour was originally scheduled from November 16 to 24, but the ICC decided to exclude these regions after the objections.

This comes amid ongoing tensions over the Indian cricket team’s refusal to visit Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. The ICC has also informed the PCB that India will not travel to Pakistan for the event.

In response, the PCB has asked the ICC for a written explanation regarding India’s decision.
