At Least 15 Dead in Israeli Attacks on Damascus Suburbs, Syrian Officials Say

DAMASCUS, Nov 14 – Israeli airstrikes on Damascus, Syria’s capital, have killed at least 15 people, according to Syrian state media.

The attacks targeted two residential buildings in the suburbs of Damascus on Wednesday night, including one in the Mazzeh district and another in Qudsaya, located west of the city. Syrian state news agency SANA reported the deaths, although the identities of the victims remain unclear.

The Israeli military has not confirmed the strike but stated that the targets were related to Palestinian militant groups, particularly Islamic Jihad.

This attack has heightened security concerns as it comes just days before the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro and the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Brazil, raising tensions in the region.
