Nearly 3,000 Sikh Pilgrims Arrive at Wahga Border for Nankana Sahib Celebrations

Around 3,000 Sikh pilgrims have arrived at Wahga Border in Lahore to take part in the celebrations marking the birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak. They were warmly welcomed by Provincial Ministers Ramesh Singh Arora and Bilal Akbar Khan, along with officials from the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) and other departments.

After the reception, the pilgrims were sent on buses to Nankana Sahib, where the main celebrations will take place. The ministers assured that excellent arrangements had been made for their stay, travel, and security.

Minister Ramesh Singh Arora, speaking on behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, emphasized the decorations along a 6-kilometer stretch of Nankana Sahib, which had been beautified for the occasion.

Additional arrangements, including transport, accommodation, food, and medical facilities, were also provided for the pilgrims. Face masks were distributed to protect them from smog.

The central event of the celebrations will take place in Nankana Sahib, with federal and provincial ministers attending. All Gurdwaras, including the birthplace of Baba Guru Nanak, have been beautifully lit up for the occasion.
