Nokia Buys World’s Largest API Hub to Boost 5G Revenue
Nov 13 (Reuters) – Nokia announced on Wednesday that it has acquired the world’s largest application programming interface (API) hub and marketplace from the U.S.-based company Rapid. The deal aims to help Nokia increase its revenue from 5G and 4G networks.
As with other telecom equipment makers, Nokia is exploring ways to generate more revenue from its 5G technology and expand into new markets. The company is also hoping to attract investments as artificial intelligence (AI) continues to grow in importance.
