Irish Business Delegation Visits Faisalabad, Shows Interest in Investment

Faisalabad — A business delegation from Ireland has expressed interest in investing in Faisalabad, particularly in setting up a meat processing plant and investing in energy projects in the city’s FEDEC industrial zone.

The nine-member delegation visited the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce to meet with local business leaders and discuss opportunities for investment and trade. Four members of the delegation are of Pakistani origin. Rehan Naseem Bhrara, President of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the delegation and highlighted that many Pakistanis who had migrated years ago are now returning to invest in the country’s growth, bringing new technologies and expertise.

Asim Sattar, who represented the Irish delegation, mentioned that they have already visited Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore. They have now set up an office in Faisalabad to train local workers and send them to Ireland for employment. He added that besides Irish investors, Chinese and other foreign investors are also interested in bringing advanced technology to Pakistan.

Sattar also shared that Mr. Wang, a specialist in the meat industry, is interested in establishing a meat processing plant in Faisalabad and could also contribute to Pakistan’s renewable energy sector.

At the end of the meeting, President Rehan Naseem Bhrara presented a commemorative shield to Asim Sattar to thank him and the delegation for their visit. The event was also attended by chamber members Waheed Khaliq Ramey, Muhammad Ali, Bilal Jamil, and others.
