Pakistan’s Pharmaceutical Exports Surge by 31.11% in Q1 of FY 2024-25
Pakistan’s pharmaceutical exports saw significant growth, rising by 31.11% in the first quarter of FY 2024-25 compared to the same period last year. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), pharmaceutical exports reached $105.936 million from July to September 2024, up from $80.796 million in the corresponding period of 2023.
On a year-on-year basis, September 2024 alone recorded a notable 61.55% increase in pharmaceutical exports, reaching $43.607 million, compared to $26.992 million in September 2023. Month-on-month, exports also rose by 53.78% in September 2024, compared to $28.357 million in August.
Car Sales Also Surge by 112% Year-on-Year in Pakistan
Pakistan’s car sales have experienced a substantial 112% year-on-year increase, as indicated by new data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA). In the first four months of FY 2024-25, vehicle sales rose by 50%, with 40,693 units sold compared to 27,162 in the same period last year.
In October 2024, car sales reached 13,108 units, a remarkable 112% increase from 6,180 units in October 2023, and a 27% increase compared to September 2024.
