Oman Launches First Locally Developed Satellite with Advanced AI for Earth Observation
Oman has successfully launched its first Omani satellite, developed by Oman Lens and registered with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), marking a major milestone in the country’s entry into space technology. This satellite, OL-1, specializes in remote sensing and earth observation, enhanced by artificial intelligence (AI) for real-time data processing.
The OL-1 satellite is equipped with high-resolution optical sensors and AI capabilities, enabling it to capture and analyze images of Oman’s environment, infrastructure, and natural resources quickly and efficiently.
