No Issues with Playing in Pakistan if Board Decides, Rohit Sharma

MUMBAI (Nov 10, 2024) – Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma has said that the decision regarding whether the Indian team will travel to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy lies with the respective cricket boards, not the players.

In a media interaction, when asked about the possibility of India playing in Pakistan, Sharma stated, “This decision is for the two cricket boards to make, it’s not in our hands. As players, we always look ahead to the tournament.” He further added, “Wherever the board sends us, we are ready to play. If the board decides to send us to Pakistan, we have no issues with that.”

The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is scheduled to take place in Pakistan, but as of now, the Indian team’s participation has not been officially confirmed. The situation remains uncertain, as discussions continue between the cricket boards of both countries.
