Morocco’s Population Reaches 36.82 Million, Shows Census Data
RABAT, Sept 2024 – Morocco’s population has grown to 36.82 million, according to the preliminary results of the national census, announced by government spokesman Mustapha Baitas on Thursday.
This marks an increase of 2.98 million people, or 8.8 percent, compared to the previous census in 2014. The number of households also saw a significant rise, reaching 9.27 million, a 26.8 percent increase from a decade ago.
The census also revealed a surge in the number of foreign residents, which has risen by 71.8 percent, with 148,152 foreigners now living in Morocco.
