Serbian Opposition Protests in Novi Sad Over Deadly Train Station Collapse

NOVI SAD, Serbia, Nov 5– Thousands of opposition supporters gathered in Novi Sad on Tuesday to protest the deadly collapse of a railway station roof, which killed 14 people and injured three on Friday. Protesters blame government negligence and corruption for the disaster.

The protest turned violent as demonstrators broke windows at the city hall, threw flares and firecrackers, and spilled liquid manure in the streets. Police used pepper spray to break up the crowd.

The tragedy at the railway station has sparked anger, with many calling for accountability from the government.
