Tragic Bus Accident in India Claims 36 Lives
LUCKNOW, India: A devastating bus accident in Uttarakhand has left at least 36 passengers dead after the vehicle plunged into a river in a deep Himalayan ravine.
Deepak Rawat, a senior government official, confirmed the casualties and stated that three critically injured passengers have been airlifted to the hospital. The bus was traveling from Garhwal to Ramnagar and had approximately 42 passengers on board.
Footage from the scene showed the overturned bus lying beside the river at the base of a hill. State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that rescue teams are working diligently to evacuate the injured and assist those affected by this tragic incident.
