Brigadier General Hamid Mazandarani Among Two Killed in Iranian Helicopter Incident
A tragic helicopter crash in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchistan province has resulted in the deaths of an Iranian Revolutionary Guards Brigadier General and a pilot.
The accident occurred while the military was conducting combat operations in the border area. The deceased have been identified as General Hamid Mazandarani, commander of the Nineveh Brigade of Golestan province, and pilot Hamed Jandaghi.
This incident comes just months after another deadly helicopter crash that claimed the lives of President Ebrahim Raisi and several senior officials, raising concerns about aviation safety in the region.
