Heartwarming Act of Honesty: Dubai Rider Gives Back Dh15,000 Overpayment
Dubai – In a heartwarming display of honesty, a delivery rider in Dubai returned Dh15,000 to a customer who accidentally overpaid for a delivery.
The customer, Kajetan Hubner, recently moved to Dubai and was ordering an e-scooter for cash on delivery. Instead of paying the correct amount of Dh1,750, he mistakenly handed over Dh16,750. Kajetan didn’t realize the error until later, when he searched his hotel room frantically for the cash he believed he had lost.
After finishing his delivery, rider Muhammad Mohsin Nazir discovered the overpayment and was shocked. “I kept checking the delivery order and counting the money,” he said. Confused, he confirmed with his colleagues that the amount was indeed incorrect.
Muhammad, guided by his mother’s advice, reached out to Kajetan the next day to inform him of the mistake. “I couldn’t believe I got my money back,” Kajetan said, expressing his gratitude for Muhammad’s integrity.
When Muhammad returned the Dh15,000, Kajetan offered him a Dh300 tip for his honesty, but the rider humbly refused, stating, “My true reward is with Allah.”
This incident has not only strengthened their friendship but also showcased the values of trust and community spirit in Dubai. Kajetan shared their story on social media, which quickly went viral, highlighting the importance of honesty in everyday life.
