Bushra Bibi Released from Adiala Jail After Bail in Toshakhana Case 2
An accountability court in Islamabad has issued the release orders for former First Lady Bushra Bibi following her bail approval in the Toshakhana Case 2 by the Islamabad High Court. She has now been released from Adiala Jail and has arrived at Bani Gala, where she was warmly welcomed.
Yesterday, the Islamabad High Court had granted bail to Bushra Bibi in the new Toshakhana case. However, due to the unavailability of Senior Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand and Special Judge Central No. 2 Humayun Dilawar being on leave, her release orders could not be issued.
PTI lawyers had been attempting to submit the surety bonds, but by the time they reached the courts, the judicial hours had ended. Even the Administrative Judge Jawad Abbas had left by the time they arrived.
Today, the surety bonds were successfully submitted in the court of Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand, leading to the issuance of Bushra Bibi’s release orders. The surety bond was submitted by Malik Tariq Mahmood Noon, and shortly after, the release papers were submitted at Adiala Jail, making Bushra Bibi’s release official. She is now at Bani Gala.
