No More Lost Contacts: WhatsApp to Allow Direct Storage in the App
WhatsApp to Introduce New Contact Management Feature
Meta has announced a major update for WhatsApp that will change how contacts are managed in the app. Currently, WhatsApp only saves contacts from the primary phone, making it difficult for users to access them on linked devices. If a phone is lost or damaged, users have to manually re-save their contacts.
The new contact manager feature will allow users to store all their contacts directly within WhatsApp, meaning they won’t need to re-save them if they switch or lose their phone. This update will also help users with multiple WhatsApp accounts on one device.
The new feature is set to roll out in the coming weeks, starting with WhatsApp Web and its Windows app, and will gradually become available on other linked devices. This change aims to make managing contacts easier and more reliable for users.
