As the automotive industry accelerates its transition towards sustainability, 2025 is set to witness the global launch of cutting-edge, budget-friendly electric vehicles (EVs). Reports indicate that over 100 electric car models will hit roads worldwide, offering eco-conscious and affordable options for consumers.

Upcoming Budget-Friendly EV Models

  • Renault Twingo: Priced at £17,000 (approximately PKR 6 million), this compact five-door car boasts a range of 185 miles on a single charge and an efficiency of 6.2 kWh per mile.
  • Fiat Panda: Available for £22,000 (approximately PKR 7.8 million), this stylish hatchback can travel 199 miles on a full charge.

Most Affordable Option: Dacia Spring

Among the most economical choices is the Dacia Spring, priced at £14,000 (approximately PKR 5.1 million). The Spring is positioned as the UK’s most affordable EV, aimed at making sustainable driving accessible to all.

Volkswagen’s Cutting-Edge EVs

Volkswagen is set to introduce its sporty yet eco-conscious Cupra Raval, priced at £25,000 (approximately PKR 8.8 million). With a 270-mile range and 234 horsepower, it blends sustainability with racing pedigree, incorporating recycled polymers and bio-based materials.

The brand also unveils the Volkswagen 2all, a compact GTI model with a 280-mile range and 223 horsepower, offering enhanced wheelbase and spaciousness compared to the Polo model.

Renault’s Retro-Futuristic Models

Renault is bringing back classic designs with its R4 E-Tech and R5 E-Tech, set to launch by mid to late 2025:
